On Monday, we learned about the Internet. It used to be known as the Arpanet before it was changed into the Internet. The telephone and telegraph was integrated into the pc. Basically, we learned about the basics such as the LANs, the IP (Internet Protocol), dongles and more. We had also learned about online service providers and their differences compared to internet service providers. Online service providers are, for examples, Google, Yahoo! and Msn, etc. These online service providers promotes their own software such as the Yahoo! Messenger, as well as news and others. They can also be an internet service provider. Meanwhile, internet service providers are Streamyx, P1 and such. They mainly provide access to the Internet. We also look into some of the examples and also on the Old Media vs New Media.
Tuesday 6th of July 2010
On Tuesdays, my friends were supposed to do their presentations, so we had no lectures. They talked about Public Relationship, Advertising and more onto the differences, characteristics, how the organizations functions, their strategies and tactics, how they work and many other details. This topic is particularly rather difficult, but i managed to understand. Since the topics are going to be questioned during the finals, i guess I had better study them.
